Since 1982, Gonzalez has been making reeds from cane grown on their family plantation at the foot of the Andes mountains. Gonzalez use traditional methods to harvest the cane and it is carefully and slowly dried and prepared for use. This extra time allows the internal fibers of the cane to mature properly and ensures a consistent and long lasting reed.
